Was It Love?

When four very different men appear in her life, a single mother who hasn’t dated in years begins to rediscover love — and herself. Starring Song Ji hyo it aired on JTBC from July 8 to September 2, 2020 and is streaming worldwide on Netflix.

Episode 1 & 2

E1 – Angel (Ae-Jung) is a hardworking single mom with a daughter that struggles with not having a father in her life.  Angel has to deal with the Gangster (Pa Do) because her boss leaves her responsible for a ton of debt.  All four romantic interests (The Gangster, The Teacher, The Actor, and the Author) are introduced in the first episode… oh my!
E2 (32:42) – We find out that Angel and Dale (Dae-Oh) the Author dated each other in college, the Gangster (Pa Do) has a heart, and that the Teacher (Yeon Woo) may be Honey’s (the daughter) father!

Episode 3 & 4

E1: Dale the Author (Dae-oh) finds out that his story is incomplete.  Honey the Daughter (Han-nee)  embarks on a journey to find her father.  Dale finally agrees to work with Angel (Ae-jung) to make the movie!
E2 (31:41): Yeon-woo the Teacher is from a wealthy family.  Dale finds out that Angel was a single mother over the past 14 years.  Eugene the Actor (Ryu Jin) and Angel have some more college history revealed.

Episode 5 & 6

E5 – Eugene the Actor (Ryu Jin) is getting emotionally entangled in the lives of Honey the daughter and AJ (Ae Jung).  Pa Do the Gangster, Dale the Author, and Eugene are forming a bond around taking responsibility for AJ.  We are introduced to Irene the Actress (Ah Rin).
E6 (45:46) – We have it confirmed that Yeon Woo the Teacher is NOT the father.  We find out that Irene liked Dale back in his college days.  Dale finally confesses his true feelings for AJ at the Cheonmyeong Party.

Eugene (Ryu Jin) is getting emotionally entangled in the lives of Honey (Ha Nee) and AJ (Ae Jung), Yeon Woo is NOT the father, and Dale (Dae-oh) finally confesses his true feelings for AJ (Ae Jung) at the Cheonmyeong Party.

Episode 7 & 8

E7 – Eugene (Ryu Jin the Actor) feelings intensify around Honey (Han-nee the daughter) and AJ (Ae-jung).  Pa Do (the Gangster) gets involved at Dong Chan’s (the Gangster’s son) school.  Dale (Dae-oh) presses AJ for answers.
E8 (45;32) – Eugene’s feelings take center stage.  AJ may be in physical danger.  Dale goes “all in” with AJ.

Episode 9 & 10

E 9 – On the island, we get to know a lot more about the main characters.  The emotions between Dale (Dae-oh) and AJ (Ae-jung) continue to deepen.  AJ decides to talk to Dale about her feelings.
E10 (42:38) – AJ finally tells Dale about why she broke up with him.  Jennifer (the Agent) investigation causes Eugene (Ryu-jin) to make a tough decision.  We get more backstory on Pa Do (the Gangster) and Dong Chan (the son)

Episode 11 & 12

E 11 – AJ (Ae-jong) finally confirms who is the father.  Eugene (Ryu-jin) confesses that he had something to do with AJ and Dale (Dae-oh) breaking up.  Dale FINALLY pieces together why AJ left him 14 years ago.
E 12 (49:30) – Dale reflects back to why he took a leave of absence from college.  Eugene figures out who was behind the tabloid rumors. Dale takes a stand at Honey’s (Ha-nee) school.

Episode 13 & 14

E13 – Honey (Ha-nee), AJ (Ae-jung) and Dale (Dae-oh) have it out in the parking lot!  Honey and Eugene (Ryu-jin) visit the university where the three of them became friends.  Pa Do receives a threatening phone call.
E14 (39:12) – Pa Do and Dong Chan’s relationship is finally revealed.  Irene (A-rin) drops from the movie.  Dale is in critical condition!

Bonus Episode: Enneagram/Temperments

AJ (Ae-jung) is an Artisan (SP) Helper (2).  Eugene (Ryu-jin), Yeon Woo, and Pa Do are 6’s and Dale (Dae-oh) is an idealist (NF) Thinker (5).

Episode 15

All the gaps are filled in on Yeon Woo’s back story.  Eugene (Ryu-jin) and Irene (A-rin) grow closer together.  Jennifer Song hatches a plan for revenge.

Episode 16

Dale (Dae-oh) shoulders all of the responsibility for what is going wrong with the production of the movie.  Drastic decisions are being made to help AJ (Ae-jung) realize her dreams.  Hopeful couples are hinted at throughout the ending!
